Training & Equipping

The ZOE Vision

ZOE’s vision is to place Training Schools in churches under the pastors or in homes under responsible leadership. The Training Schools provide a discipleship program for training and equipping the believer to do the work of the kingdom.

The Vision of ZOE Ministries

Training Schools are initially set up by ZOE representatives but afterwards are administered by the local pastor / leader with ZOE providing periodic assistance as needed and requested.

This program naturally generates leaders! This occurs as the Holy Spirit reveals individual giftings and as church leaders recognize these giftings and encourage and give opportunity for these believers to serve.

ZOE Ministries Courses

Currently there are thirteen different 12-week courses available. These courses are unlike Bible schools or colleges, in that they are designed to give the participant hands-on training.

A fourteenth course, Captivated by their Character, is a three-part series with a slightly different format. This course is for new believers, those needing a refresher on the Trinity or even for non-believers.

Training and Equipping — ZOE Training Schools

The ZOE Training School courses are unique in that they are not designed to be a “Bible study” per se, but rather a training class. A trained Facilitator leads the group in discussion of the Bible, book and handout assignments, as well as encourages participants in their giftings.

ZOE Course Facilitator Instructions

We emphasize ‘Facilitator’ since that role is crucial to the success of every class. The Facilitator is there to lead, guide, coach and draw-out each participant and not to “teach” in the traditional sense.

The ZOE Training Schools provide a training program to equip the believer to do the work of the kingdom. We believe that the believer needs to know who they are in Christ and to establish a relationship with Him first before attempting to “do the work.”

Going Forth in Power

The ZOE vision doesn’t stop with training and equipping. We encourage the discipled believer to actively participate in the Great Commission and support existing mission endeavors—all under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

“Go and make disciples of all nations, … teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you … .” Matthew 28:19–20

It is the desire of ZOE to equip the believer to take the Gospel into all the earth, thus fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19–20.

As believers are equipped, they are to go in God’s power and authority to further the work that Jesus began while on earth. As the Lord leads, ZOE prepares and sends forth teams to go into the nations of the world.

ZOE Ministries also recognizes that the nations of the world may include ones own and that “going forth in God’s power” may very well be into the local marketplace, or among friends and family.

Supporting Established Work

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds … let us encourage one another … .” Hebrews 10:24–25

Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, ZOE goes to missionaries already on the field for the purpose of encouraging, supporting and teaching them and the people to whom they minister daily.
